Every project, instance, and collective needs a domain name. That domain sits under a TLD — and most TLDs are owned by for-profit companies with no stake in our communities. dotMeow is a queer-owned, non-profit collective applying to run .meow as a generic top-level domain. All revenue beyond operating costs goes to queer community grants — by statute, permanently. In this talk we explain what that means, why the window is open right now, and why internet governance is a participation sport anyone can join.
