I binge-watched more than a hundred FOSDEM 2026 talks (so you don't have to ;-). Many were brilliant. Many didn't reach me. Not because of the content, but because of pronunciation, emphasis, jargon, microphone technique, and words that mean something different in another language. These small slips pile up into ambiguities the listener can't resolve in real time. This talk lists the patterns and the fixes. Expect Tenerife, JFK on horses, and one Korean teacher who really wanted a Coke. For speakers who want their message to land with an international audience, and for listeners who've ever wondered why a brilliant talk slipped past them.
