I run my home on one box: KVM + Podman, Home Assistant, Postgres, and step CA issuing certs to the heating. It mostly works. I'll show the setup, tell the stories where it didn't, and explain why my "intern" turned out to be a more useful design constraint than any threat model. Ends with a fight I want to pick about EU sovereign-tech discourse and the people writing it.
